BLESSINGS AT THE SANTUARIO DE SAN VICENTE DE PAÚL

Everything seems to happen all at the same time in the Santuario de San Vicente de Paúl: blessing of the front stairway, main portals, chapel of the sacrament, anterior columbary, and lastly, the enthronement of the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel. No less than the representative of the Holy Father in the Philippines or Papal Nuncio, His Excellency Archbishop Edward Joseph Adams, DD is coming to preside in all the blessings on May 4, 5:45 in the afternoon at the shrine and columbary located at Tandang Sora Ave., Quezon City. A Eucharistic celebration will highlight the affair in which the Nuncio will preside as the main celebrant to be assisted by a number of Vincentian priests. These sons of St. Vincent conceived this Shrine as a jubilee project, its major architect, Froilan L. Hong, designed it, and the people of God has been raising it brick by brick. The piecemeal blessings represent the determination of the Vincentian family to complete the project even if it takes years. The process is as important as the finished product.
